Slabtown Makers Market at NW Marine Art Works – Dec 18th-19th, 10am-5pm

The Slabtown Makers Market is a curated, juried, shopping event with more than 60 makers from the PNW to be held at NW Marine Artworks. In addition, some of the artists from the NW Marine Artworks will also participate in the event. Vendors in this event will donate a portion of their sales to 5 featured non-profit organizations. NWMAW Open Studios – December 5, 11am – 4pm

The long awaited NWMAW’S OPEN STUDIO is finally here.

‘Tis the season. Great opportunity to pick up one of the kind gifts for the holidays. With 50+ studios open to the public, there should be lots of art objects to pick from – paintings, ceramics, clothing etc. Hope to see you there. Please do wear a mask to keep everyone safe.

“Hope in Every Step” September/October 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, Portland

Clement Lee has been invited to participate in the “Hope in Every Step” show in September. Exhibiton is focused on artworks from Immigrant artists focused on their experience of adjusting to a new reality and their struggles to assimilate, building community in a new country. Artist reception will be on October 3 at noon but the show starts in September and through October.

Slabtown Makers Market July 24-25 at NWMAW

The second annual Slabtown Makers Market was held at NWMAW on July 24-25 from 11am to 5pm and It was a success. More than 1000 visitors over the two days. 50+ artisans in ceramics, fine jewelry, apparel, housewares, glass, body care and much more. additional artists at NWMAWs will also be opening their studios to the public as well. A portions of the proceeds will be donated to local charities. Please come and visit Mary and I at our studio #43.

Holiday Open Studio December 8 at NWMAW 

More than 20 artists will be participating in the Northwest Marine Artworks 3rd annual Holiday Open Studios on Sunday Dec. 8. Artists and artisans will be displaying their works including pottery, painting, apparel, jewelry, fabric and leather works and much more. The perfect place to find that special one-of-a-kind gift. Check this space for more details as the date approaches.

“Little Things 19” holiday show at Guardino Gallery

Mary Lee will be displaying her encaustic art at Guardino Gallery’s 19th annual Little Things show, which runs Nov. 29 through December 28.

More than 50 artists will be participating and as the name suggests, all artwork is 7 inches and smaller. The show kicks off with a reception on Friday, Nov. 29 (the day after Thanksgiving). Guardino Gallery is located at 2939 NE Alberta in Portland.

NWMAW 3rd annual summer open studios was a hit with attendees 

More than 1000 people attended the Open House; lots of art, music and fun.


Northwest Marine Artworks (NWMAW) where our studio is located consists of 74 studios with more than 100 artists of various disciplines. 70+ artists participated in this year’s open house. 

Art lovers came in droves to enjoy the music, beer, wine, food and of course the art.
